Then looking at what’s different in today’s world and why new models of coaching are needed. The course will explore the different aspects of coaching in today’s more dynamic and increasingly complex world, where better leadership is achieved through a coaching approach to people management. Module 1: Core Coaching Ideas – exploring the underpinning models that make coaching different. Module 2: Two Successful Coaching Models – exploring the GROW model and then coming up to date with a coaching model that combines performance and people development Module 3: The Steps in the Coaching Conversation – walking through the steps in a coaching conversation and why each is important Module 4: The Skills of Coaching – looking at the interpersonal skills needed for a coaching conversation and how they are used in coaching. Module 5: Resources & Resourcefulness – coaching taps into peoples’ innate attitutdes to resourcefulness and helps them access the resources they need to achieve in their roles. Module 6: Coaching Principles – successful coaching is based on 5 underpinning principles that apply to professional coaches and leaders and managers who want to improve their coaching style in the workplace Module 7: The Field – in today’s increasingly complex world of work, it’s important to be able to navigate around the organisations we work in such that people and teams can be successful Module 8: Asking and Telling – this module looks in depth at how successful coaching conversations work, as distinct from other conversations. Module 9: Developing Empathy and Rapport – Emotional Intelligence is vital in coaching and this module explores the basics Module 10: What People say about Coaching – This module looks at the business case and evidence for coaching, and what people say about the impact of coaching on their lives and work |
